General Description of Archive

This is an interesting site, it collects links to audio of poetry readings, and links them with information about the author, as well as the text of the published poem when possible. Unfortunately almost all of the links to the audio recordings are broken. The links to the text are often to poetry.org or poetry foundation, as well as the Courtland Review and other online magazines that publish poetry online. Many links are for the New York Times (but are for subscribers only). This site is only useful for our research in regards to its work towards trying to create a comprehensive list of all poetic audio recordings available on the web, and in its downfalls and failures that links often change and updating hundreds of addresses might be near impossible.

UPDATE (Chelsea Obodoechina): Link is no longer functional and website appears to be shut down. You may find an archive of it here: https://web.archive.org/web/20101028234626/http://www.laurable.com/index.html
